We simply love Christmas at the Smugglers! Every year, we can’t wait to dress our gorgeous pub in it’s festive finery, and it makes the perfect venue for your Christmas Party, or just to come and relax and soak up the festive atmosphere beside our log fires with a glass of mulled cider!
We are delighted to offer to host your Christmas Party, with our great value party menu (available in mid October), plenty of free parking, and space to accommodate groups both large and small!
This year we are also adding some additional celebratory options… we are hosting two midweek carveries on Wednesday 13th and Wednesday 20th December, as well a proper Christmas party night on Saturday 16th December with live music!
For a touch of extra festiveness, on Sunday 17th December we have our local choir, Keltique singing carols with us from 6pm. Celebrate the festive season with our delicious carvery, then join in some festive songs as we count down the final week to Christmas!
On Christmas Day, we like to give most of our staff a well deserved day off. We will be open from 12 noon til 3pm just for drinks, perfect if you fancy a Christmas Morning walk on the beach, followed by a relaxed, fire-side drink before heading home for your Christmas meal!
Boxing Day we will be serving our normal menu from 12 noon til 6pm.
New Years Eve falls on a Sunday this year, so we will be running our famous and hugely popular Sunday Carvery throughout the day. Please be sure to book well in advance for this date as it is sure to be sold out. We will then be closing early in the evening at 7pm, to allow our staff the evening off to celebrate the end of the year and the start of 2024 however they wish.
New Years Day is one of our busiest days over the festive period, and since it falls on a Sunday this year, it will be the perfect opportunity to enjoy the first Sunday Carvery of 2023. It is certain to be a busy and lively afternoon, and we suggest that you book early to avoid disappointment!
So, there is our festive season, we can’t wait to see and share in the Christmas spirit with you all!
